Do you like Mariah Carey’s new single that was just released for radio play today?
I love a lot of her music, especially her first five albums, Mariah Carey, Emotions, Music Box, Daydream, and Butterfly, but I absolutely cannot stand her right now! She doesn’t use her voice! She isn’t a singer! The song obsessed doesn’t even show her voice at all!!! Did she finally lose it for good, because her voice is produced by a computer! It is pissing me off! I am deciding to not be a fan of Mariah Carey anymore!!! I just don’t know what to do! My heart is broken that she would make a song like that! Even in 2005 and 2008 she released descent albums that were fit for radio play, now everything is fake! Why Mariah?
They’re playing it on B 96 Chicago…you can try to catch it. I heard it about 20 minutes okay.
I guess it isn’t extremely bad, and I think the album will be okay.
are you kidding? the song is great. your obviously not a true mariah carey fan a fan sticks to their idol no matter what. she doesnt need to prove herself anymore shes already a legend. whats wrong with her experimenting with her music. its not like shes doing drugs or making a fool of herself like britney spears (no offense to britney fans) but seriously if your not going to be a fan make for a good reason. i love the song so much. its not a horrible song like todays music. her songs have always and forever will have true meaning. again with her voice she still can sing but she doesnt need to prove she can hit those crazy notes anymore and if wants to she’ll do it. and the only reason shes using the autotune voice is becuase thats whats it right now and thats whats so great about her shes able to adapt to musics constant changes. hope this changes your mind dont turn your back on Mrs. Mariah Carey.(:

Daydream $7.64 “Fantasy” provides the only real transcendent chapter on this album. Reinterpreting Tom Tom Club’s “Genius of Love” with a percolating dance beat, the single emphasizes everything that makes Mariah Carey great. Her voice swoops, squeals, and careens over the seductive rhythm, while the words capture just the right amount of vulnerability and determination. Unfortunately, the thrill is short-lived,… |

Butterfly $4.50 Carey’s first post-divorce effort makes passing allusions to her ex-hubby (and label honcho) Tommy Mottola, but it doesn’t dwell on them the way many similar projects do. Instead, Carey is right back to her old tricks; cooing trademark melismatic spirals through sexy, beat-heavy hits. Fans will dig the bedroom slink of “Baby Doll,” the dripping “Honey” and the infectious title track (reprised, alo… |
