Uh what exactly is Mariah Careys race?
My friend and i we’re listening to Mariah Careys music and looking at her pictures on myspace and we started to think, is she black, white, mixed, what IS Mariah Carey!? Lol. We’re just really curious about this, thanks for your time!!
Mariah’s mother is Irish American, her father was half African-American and half Venezuelan, so that makes Mariah roughly 50% Irish American, 25% African-American, and 25% Venezuelan, Mariah does not claim one nationality more than the other, she’s always embraced her African-American and Irsih American background however it wasn’t untill recently that she began embracing her Venezuelan roots, with the deth of her father this past year she beggan to research his past and her roots, she discusses more about her very bi-racial background in the Febuary 2003 issue of “Latina”.
