What is up with Mariah Carey and butterflies?
first she has an album called Butterfly and a song called Butterfly. She has this butterfly ring that she wears all the time and a butterfly belt (that you see in her Bye Bye music video. Her perfume bottle is a butterfly, I think it’s cool that she likes them, but is she like obsessed with them or something? or is it like her motto or something she lives by like “spread your wings and prepare to fly for you have become a butterfly” like a metamorphosis or emancipation?
I love Mariah she’s my favorite singer! so don’t say things like she can’t sing or she’s ugly I think she is a beautiful person and she obviously can sing! I was just wondering why she loves butterflies so much!
for her it is a symbol of freedom.
the first cd she made after her divorce was ‘butterfly.’ she felt like she could be more like herself and could make her own decisions. after that she has always continued to intertwine them into her style and image.
